Learn to Drive

"I learnt to drive with Mark about 2 years ago, just after my 17th birthday (I'd got vouchers for driving off my parents) I was extremely nervous and everything was very new to me, but every lesson mark took me out of my comfort zone, which I needed, and taught me something new. I would go home and tell everyone about what I had learnt in that lesson as I was proud of my achievements.

If there was anything I was uncomfortable with, we went over it a few times until that was no longer the case (doing 60 miles per hour, reversing the corner up until test day, right turns, dual carriage ways...etc) Mark assessed me well and knew my learning style almost immediately (learn something on paper go away think about it then trying it- you had a complicated name for it but I forgot it) meaning he knew the best methods to use in teaching me on the level that would suit me.

I was tested about theory/ hazard perception in my lessons as well (your 5 points system, look ahead keeping eyes moving, spot the problem, check your speed etc) and passed my theory test will full Mark's first time.(35/35 and 70/75) In the end I chose to have more intensive lessons and found that I learnt a lot quicker as everything was still fresh in my mind from the previous lessons.

On the test day itself I was feeling confident and ready for the test and despite having two driving testers in the car I passed first time round and it's pretty much thanks to Mark dedication.

One fear I (/my family/friends/ josh) had was that after I had passed my test was that I would be too nervous to drive on my own but it was an easy transaction and I took to it quite easily mainly because Mark hadn't taught me just how to pass my test, he'd taught me how to drive.

Now over a year and a half after passing my test I've got a clean licence and still remember my teachings every time I have a difficult manoeuvre to do.

I passed my test with Mark first time about 3 weeks ago after learning to drive with him for about 9 months. Mark is understanding and would always tell me how things were, straight up front. He would always push me a bit more each week so I would keep learning and gain more experience. Mark works hard and cares about his students.

From talking to all my friends who are learning to drive with different instructors, I don't think there is anyone that is more determined to help you pass first time than Mark. Mark would always make sure you were ready for your test before you take it so you would not have to go through all the hassle of failing and having to re-sit it. Mark taught me how not only to pass my test but how to drive. "
